In 1989 Iron Maiden were taking a year off from touring and recording which was he band's first proper break since their formation. Bruce was approached by his publishers Zomba to write a song for "A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child". He teamed up with his old mate former Gillan guitarist Janick Gers and recorded the song. Other musucians are Andy Carr on Bass and Fabio del Rio on drums. Upon hearing the song Zomba offered Bruce to record a full album which subsequently became "Tattooed Millionaire".
The song appears, only for a few seconds in the movie, very far back in the mix in a scene where the main character is walking through a park and sees some young girls playing and singing a Freddy Kreuger child song.
Two totally different versions of the movie soundtrack was released. The first version was the one with "Bring your daughter..." and other tracks by other bands on it, the second being an actual soundrack of the incidential music.
It was recorded by Chris Tsangarides on June 23 1989.
The soundtrack won a Golden Raspberry Award in the category "worst original music". Steve Harris, though, obviously liked this song so much that he persuaded Bruce not to use it on his solo album and save it for the next Iron Maiden album (No prayer for the dying) album.
The soundtrack was released by JIVE music in 1989 (1258-2-J).
